| can only black individuals submit? no, but there is preference for black authors. what are you looking for? work that details the black experience! family, discrimmination, etc. we want to hear your voice. where are past issues? this is our first submission season. will you provide feedback? sadly, no. when should we expect a response? late june, past the may 1st deadline! |

| • times new roman, double spaced, font size 12 • margin 1’ • 8-10 pages of work • short cover letter with a picture of yourself, short bio (50-75 words), and contact information • poetry: 60 lines or less • prose, creative non-fiction, non-fiction, fiction: 1,800 words or less must be in pdf format |
